Mentoring is one of the most often used methods within individual and team development. Sharing knowledge and experience within the company is practical and effective way to ensure needed knowledge management. Most of the specialists come with practical experience and field experience, however, the way to share these seems to be terra incognita. Interactively leads training focuses on the introduction to the problem, introduction to the process, structure and methodology used in mentoring. A part of the training is practicing techniques, or possibly practicing feedback from the mentor to the client.

What do we focus on inmentoring?

 

  • Basic information on mentoring, about how it can be distinguished from other forms of adult learning (education, consultancy, coaching, supervision);
  • Mentor – the role and the competence, what he does and does not do, differenc between mentoring and coaching;
  • Mentor program among other development activities; experience with implementing these, cross-mentoring;
  • Mentor tools – active listening, target forming, questions, possible structures of mentor interview, feedback, observation, creating trust and rapport, the right pairing of mentee and mentor, mentoring in the company culture;
  • Basic mentor skills – leading an interview, observation, providing feedback, leading mentor contract;
  • Acquiring and managing mentor contract;
  • The ability of reflexion and self-reflexion and supporting self-reflexion at others.
